All are aware that Indian Institute of Information Technology, Nagpur (IIITN) has started functioning in the Year 2016-17 and technically, is still in the establishment stage.
However, the Institute is striving to be a fore-runner in cutting edge technology research and education. I am delighted to share that the 1st Batch of students has passed out from the Institute and 30 students out of 46 got placement through campus interview with highest package offered is Rs. 20.0 Lakhs per annum and average package of Rs. 7.70 Lakhs per annum. 6 students have opted for higher studies.
Further, you would be happy to know that out of 141 registered students of the 2021 Batch, 24 students are already placed through campus interview with Rs. 19 Lakhs as maximum package and Rs. 10.43 Lakhs as average package per annum.
On the Internship front, 83 students out of 150 of final year 2020-21 have been placed for one semester Internship with average stipend of Rs. 14,350/- in various companies like TRDDC, BARC, Persistent, NARL ISRO, AP, Clever Tap, Mumbai, The Solar Labs, Noida, Bosch Ltd.
The Institute promotes research activities for Faculty Members in the form of internationally reviewed SCI/Scopus Journal Publications, Patents, Research Projects, FDP, Workshops and Industry Collaborative Consultancy. In last four years of operations of the Institute, the Faculties of the Institute have published 114 Research Papers in various Publications.
I am delighted to inform all the stakeholders that a Patent Application for “Virtual Signal System” developed at the Institute has been filed with the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Design & Trade Marks, Mumbai under the relevant provisions of the Patent Act, 1970 and the Patent Rules, 2003.
The Institute is fortunate to have Faculties who are not only competent in teaching but are also instrumental in implementing Research Projects for Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB) and programmes under DST-NIMAT, AICTE-ATAL etc.
I would like to assure all the students that IIITN understands the fast pace of changes occurring in the field of Information Technology. To cope up with the speed of changes, we undertake the review of Academic Curriculum on regular basis through the Board of Studies consisting of experts from and IITs/NITs & Industry Experts including inputs from the students. Fine tuning of course curriculum, introduction of new courses, modifications of course contents is being done regularly in accordance with the recommendations / suggestions provided by Board of Studies and approved by the Senate.
