Department of Basic Sciences and Engineering at Indian Institute of Information Technology Nagpur, established in 2016. It is currently headed by Dr Kirti S. Dorshetwar.
The department envisages to become a state-of-the-art department with high-quality education and cutting edge interdisciplinary research in science. It acts as a foundation for all the core engineering branches and offers courses in Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Humanities and Environmental Studies.
